PPF, Sukanya Samriddhi, NSC and FD maturity amounts

Government savings schemes pay a rate notified every quarter, and bank FDs pay whatever your bank offers that week. These pages take the amounts people actually deposit and show what each grows to, how much of it is interest and what is left after tax.

The scheme pages use the rates in the site's rates file for the current quarter, so a change in rate changes every page at the next build. FD pages use an assumed bank rate, which you should replace with the rate on your own receipt.

Each page ends with a link to the matching calculator with the amount filled in, and the pages are tagged by amount so you can compare ₹1 lakh in an FD, in NSC and in PPF side by side.
