Privacy policy
The short version: there are no accounts and no ads. The numbers you type into a calculator stay in your browser. We use Google Analytics to count visits, which sets cookies; you can opt out (see Analytics below).
What we do not collect
Finacolada has no sign-up, no user accounts and no profiles. We do not ask for your name, phone number, PAN, Aadhaar, bank or card details. The calculators themselves do not set cookies or store anything in your browser’s local or session storage. The only cookies on the site come from Google Analytics (see below).
We only receive a message from you if you choose to email us. Please do not send personal financial details, account numbers or passwords by email.
Calculators run in your browser
Each calculator is a piece of JavaScript that runs on your device. When you change an input, the result is worked out locally. The figures you type are not sent to a server, and no third party receives them.
Shared links
When you change a calculator, its address updates to hold the numbers you entered, for example
?amount=500000&years=10. This lets you bookmark a result or share it. The address holds only the
calculator’s own numbers and choices.
Your browser sends the full address, including the part after the question mark, to the hosting provider when it requests the page. Hosting logs can therefore include it. Do not add personal details to a calculator’s inputs.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful. It sets first-party cookies (named like
_ga) and reports page views, approximate location (city or country level, from a truncated IP address),
device and browser type, how you arrived, and basic interactions such as scrolling and outbound clicks. It does not
receive the numbers you type into calculators, except where they appear in a page address you open or share. Google
processes this data under its own privacy policy.
To opt out, install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on, block analytics cookies in your browser, or use a content blocker. The calculators work the same either way. Embedded copies of our calculators on other sites do not load analytics.
The site may also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and reports aggregated counts only.
Hosting logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare keeps standard request logs, which can include an IP address, the time and the page requested. These logs are used to run and protect the service. They are governed by Cloudflare’s own privacy policy. Finacolada does not use them to identify visitors.
Advertising and third parties
There are no ads, no affiliate tracking and no social-media widgets. The heading font and the calculator scripts are served from the same domain, so loading a calculator does not require a third party. The only external services are the analytics described above, loaded after the page has finished loading.
Your choices
You can use every calculator without creating anything. You can clear the numbers from the address bar at any time, and you can block analytics or clear your history in your browser. The calculators keep working either way.
